Full house refurbishment, Orpington

Stripped back and refreshed

This 4-bedroom house in Orpington required a thorough internal refresh, a programme of work that touched every room and brought the property's finishes up to a modern standard throughout. The scope covered wallpaper removal, replastering, new flooring, new radiators, new internal doors, and full decoration. The kind of comprehensive refresh that transforms how a home looks and feels to live in.

Wallpaper removal and plastering

All existing wallpaper was stripped throughout the property. Wallpaper removal is more involved than it sounds. Adhesive residue, torn plaster, and years of layers all need to be dealt with before the walls are in a state to be replastered. The entire house was then replastered, giving flat, clean walls and ceilings ready for decoration. Skipping replastering and painting over stripped walls is one of the most common shortcuts that shows up immediately. We don't take it.

Flooring and doors

Old flooring was removed throughout and new laminate fitted across the property, a durable, practical choice that looks clean, is easy to maintain, and works well in all rooms. New internal doors were fitted throughout, along with the associated woodwork, giving every room a consistent, finished feel rather than the patchwork of old and new that accumulates in a house over the years.

Radiators and decoration

New radiators were installed throughout, updated both in terms of performance and appearance, removing the old units that had accumulated over decades. The full decoration programme completed the transformation, with walls, ceilings, and woodwork throughout the house brought to a consistent, clean finish. The before and after photos show what a complete refresh of this kind achieves.
