Full House
Refurbishment
Eltham
Rebuilt from
the Inside Out
This full house refurbishment in Eltham involved stripping the property back and rebuilding the interior from scratch — new layout, new finishes, new bathrooms, new kitchen, and new flooring throughout. The brief was to modernise a tired property completely while making practical changes to the way the space works, not just how it looks.
Layout & Structure
The internal layout was reconfigured as part of the refurbishment — walls were moved to improve the flow of the ground floor and create a better relationship between the living spaces. Structural changes were carried out correctly with the appropriate engineering input and building control notification, not as ad hoc alterations.
Kitchen
The kitchen was completely stripped and refitted — new units, new worktops, new appliances, and a tiled splashback. Plumbing and electrics were updated as part of the kitchen installation, bringing everything up to current standards. The layout was reconsidered as part of the overall floor plan changes to make the kitchen work better with the adjacent living space.
Bathrooms
Both bathrooms were fully stripped and refitted. Waterproofing was applied correctly to the walls before any tiling began — a step that is frequently skipped by cheaper contractors and is the primary cause of damp and tile failure in bathrooms. Large format tiles were used throughout, with careful setting out to ensure consistent, balanced grout lines in both rooms.
Flooring, Plastering & Decoration
New flooring was installed throughout the property — hard flooring on the ground floor and appropriate finishes to the upper levels. All walls and ceilings were plastered before decoration began, giving a flat, clean substrate that makes the painted finish look as it should. Full decoration was carried out throughout — walls, ceilings, woodwork, and doors — with proper preparation at every stage.
